Questions and Answers
What is Permanent Make-Up?
Permanent Make-Up is a non-surgical treatment that replicates flawlessly applied ‘conventional’ make-up through the infusion of coloured pharmaceutical pigments into the skin. Results are immediate and long lasting, bringing balance and definition to facial features.
Who is Permanent Make-Up suitable for?
Every woman who wants to feel good about herself and confident her make up application is faultless with an endurance way beyond anything conventional cosmetics can offer! Perfect Make-Up 24/7 also offers life changing benefit to alopecia suffers or those who are suffering hair loss following chemotherapy.
Does it hurt?
Be assured, the very best anaesthetic creams will be used to ensure your maximum comfort throughout.
Is Permanent Make-Up safe?
Yes, it is extremely safe. Meticulous standards of hygiene are demonstrated with the use of disposable implements throughout treatment. I guarantee to use only hypo-allergenic, pharmaceutical grade pigments which are selected for their complete purity and proven safety.
What if I don’t like it?
My expertise and professional consultation ensures I will understand your needs and desires. I will tell you exactly what is achievable and will use ordinary make up to demonstrate my suggestions. What’s more, I will custom blend colour specifically for you. You are involved in the process at every step so rest assured, together we can realise your dream look.
Will it look false and unnatural?
Absolutely not! My signature brows and lips are always natural and delicate. I maintain that a person looks best with a ‘fresh faced’ look.
How long will it last?
Many months to a few years. We recommend a colour boosting after 12 to 18 months.
What can I expect post treatment?
The colour will be more intense than desired for approximately 7 days at which point the skin naturally exfoliates to reveal the ‘true colour’. There may be a little swelling or tenderness for a few days.
Can I wear make up after?
Yes, we recommend you avoid rubbing the treated area and using new or sanitised wands, brushes and applicators. Once healed, you can wear as much or little conventional make up as you desire. The exception to the rule is mineral makeup can be applied immediately following the procedure.
Can I play sport or go swimming immediately after?
Plan to stay away from sports the same day as your treatment, thereafter is fine. Avoid swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms or sun beds for at least 6 days.
